16 november National Fast Food Day

Friday 16th November 2018 is a National Fast Food Day.  National Fast Food day originated in United States of America in the 1950’s, since then the UK fast food market has grown along with takeaways and deliveries, the Brits are loving the fast food industry.

Do you ever think why people order fast food takeaways?  easyFood took a sample of people and this is what they found:  52% of people found it was easier to order food, 50% of people ordered takeaway because they had a good experience from the previous time they ordered, 43% ordered a takeaway because they said the taste was good.  I absolutely love how 41% of families found ordering a takeaway was a nice way for them to spend time together.  40% of people ordered a takeaway because of the app, which makes it convenient to order food.  39% of Brits ordered a takeaway because they enjoy having a weekly treat, which I am sure we all do.  36% of people ordered a takeaway to fit around a busy day.  28% ordered a takeaway because there was a good range of restaurants they could order from.

The number of fast food restaurants have grown in Birmingham with an increase of 12 per cent.  Birmingham alone is home to 1,227 restaurants, surrounding areas such as West Bromwich has 399 restaurants, Dudley has 299 restaurants, Walsall has 288 restaurants, Wolverhampton has 267 restaurants, Solihull has 129 restaurants, Cannock has 116 restaurants, Bromsgrove 79 restaurants, Redditch has 73 restaurants, Lichfield has 59 restaurants, Tamworth has 57 restaurants and North Warwickshire has 49 restaurants, the number of restaurants has increased in all these areas apart from Wolverhampton.  With a good choice of restaurants in the MIDLANDS be sure to order your take away online, visit www.easyfood.co.uk to find a restaurant near you, happy National Fast Food Day 2018.
